Upon signing up for BPOS - users must configure each tool via the sign in tool: Outlook, Live Meeting, SharePoint, and Communicator.
· SharePoint is taken care of from the administrator.
· Outlook loads quickly and steps the user through a few easy steps.
· Live meeting is complete once signed in
· The Communicator tool requires a couple extra steps:
Once the user has the sign on tool, they need to navigate to the 'My Company Portal,' page and select 'Downloads.' Scrolling to the bottom of the page you will find the download for the 2007 Communicator tool - Select Download.
If the user receives a message that states: Communicator needs to be configured, or has not been configured correctly:
1. Sign off from the Sign in tool
2. Sign Out of the communicator
3. Navigate to the task manager > Close the communicator.exe under the process tab
4. Go back to the sing in tool and sign in - Communicator should configure properly
To locate the Communicator download:
Navigate to the “My Company Portal” button on the sign in tool:
Which will open the following page:
Click on the downloads tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and download the Communicator 2007 tool:
If asked for a user name and password, use the same BPOS user name and password.
